About Me

Hey! I’m Maggie, wife, mother, musician, writer, doodler, baker… I’ve created this space for you to come alive, to find rest, refreshment, and wholeness.

After spending years in youth ministry, I came to know one thing with deep certainty. Parents are tired, worn out, overextended, and frazzled (usually more than their teens are).  My desire here is that you, parent or not, can find some tips, tricks, and encouragement along the way. And not only this, but I pray you truly come alive, living abundantly the life you were called to live.

If you want to know a little more…

I was born and raised in central Illinois to my loving parents. They instilled within me a solid foundation in my faith and provided me with so many opportunities to grow in this capacity.

When college rolled around,  I went to Benedictine College (go Ravens!) where I studied theology and music. My deepest desire was to work for the church in some capacity. While it wasn’t my original plan (it usually isn’t), I ended up doing youth ministry in Des Moines, Iowa, for several years. My husband, Jon, however, stole my heart away from Des Moines and led me to Eastern Iowa, where we now reside. We have an energetic toddler, Lucy, and one baby, Gemma, in heaven.

As God has slowly led me away from traditional parish ministry for now, I spend my time with Lucy at home, writing, searching for delicious new recipes, easy sewing projects, taking walks and being outside as much as possible.
